Learn by doing - regularly

In order to plan and follow up studies we created a simple calendar with dates and topics.
Using a calendar the students can make a schedule, that suits their own needs.
And marking off something that was completed gives a sense of achievement.
It also reminds them, that learning a language is a process.

The website list encourages the students to look for tools, that are useful, and sharing them with their classmates.
The Study schedule and list of websites have been combined here. Weekly pages or separate sections are also popular.

Welcome!

I created this blog to share my thoughts and reflections about using a bullet journal in the class room. Bullet journals are a flexible, creative journaling system. Here's some more information about bullet journals.

I work in adult education. I teach many subjects: languages, different business subjects, customer service, communications.
Many of my students are immigrants, and some of them have had trouble learning languages before. Time is very limited, and I am always looking for tools and methods to help the students find ways to keep learning after the lessons.

Right now I am testing bullet journals with a group of nursing students. They will have 4 days of English and 3 days of Swedish.

I bought the students simple notebooks, colored pencils, stickers and some washi tape.

I give them suggestions and time to use their journals and to decorate as much or as little as they wish.

So far they are excited about it and eagerly using their journals.
Here are some details of their journals.
